Brisbane Jazz band video Documentary

I'm back in Japan again to organise our next tour, next  Autunm 2010 for the Blue magic Jazz. It's great to be back in Kobe and reonnect with all my friends. Japan is a place close to my heart. For those who don't know, the blue magic jazz quintet (I'm the sax player fo this band) has been on Tour in Kansai last year in Oct 2009.
Being here is a good opportunity to show you the documentary that has been done by - James Goss - Bonbon Photography - for our CD recording last year as a tribute to Kobe City and Jazz - A Waltz in Kobe. The CD was recorded in Byron Bay and James did a fantastic job with the music and images...the atmosphere of the recording is very well retranscribed and you can really feel the mood of the band at that time. This shows you how unique is this Brisbane Jazz band!

For those who has never been in a recording studio, you can see how it looks like,  the ambiance in Byron Bay (Australia) is fantastic for that. Very very good vibe when you're musician!!

James Goss is a professional photographer in Brisbane (http://www.bonbonphoto.com.au/).

He did our famous movie clip for Old Devil Moon. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ytTsVOWO04). FOr both Video, the energy and the mood are very well expressed and transcribed
Please check his website, there are some fantastic photos - really high quality work...and if you're in Australia and you need a photographer, of course go to http://www.bonbonphoto.com.au Laughing

As always, please feel free to share what you think: leave a comment about this Jazz documentary.
