this week i want to tell you about how i got a new customer again.
I needed to change my printer cartridge, then i decided to buy it Online to see how they are processing in Australia with the shipping. I was expecting a delay. But i was wrong: i ordered my product a Thursday evening, i receive it the next Friday about 2pm, which means that it was less than 24 hour. I was really surprised how fast it was even if the company is not far away from me.
Then i decided to send a message to thank the reseller for delivering so quick and a relationship started, i told him that i was an e-commerce specialist and that this question of shipping delay was crucial for an e-commerce shop.
After, due to my strong web design experience i saw many things that could be improved on his website and decided to send him some advises + logo proposition for free!
He liked it and the deal was done!!! now i've got the job and this is my task:

• improve the look and feel of the shop, logo, buttons, icon
• improve the navigation on the shop for visitor (box place, title, links etc...)
• expert analysis and advises to establish a confidence and professional atmosphere to increase the conversion visitor /customers
• improve the product visibility for search engine (H2/H3 tag, dynamic meta tag+friendly Search Engine Optimisation)

The next step on this web site should be the marketing side because there is a lot to improve to increase the average buyer basket or push to the second/third purchase...but he didn't had the budget for it yet.

Last week i told you that i probably have my first customer!
It's done know and this is a funny story!
I had to do the compulsory Road Worthy Certification because of state moving.
Then i went to the first garage no far from home. While the mechanics was checking my car, i was talking with the boss and his wife (very friendly) and they asked me what's my job. I answered web designer here in Brisbane from now...and they told me that they were just looking for one!
The deal was done!

I'm bloody happy because we are still waiting for the long term visa + ABN number, but i already have a customer...this is a very good sign for me and i feel that there is a big needs here in term of web design and e-commerce.
Therefore i changed my plan about my business : i won't only have the organic cosmetic online shop, but i 'll have a Internet company with several departments and start the cosmetic shop smaller that what i wanted to do and in the same time I'll do some online marketing and web design.

I'm waiting for the visa and the abn number but the website is already online.
As soon as i have the visa,we hope within the following 15 days, I'll start the online shop, the shop website is almost ready with all the sopping car and customers features like gateway + shipping and customer account. I think this time I'll try the Creloaded vesion6.2 instead of Os commerce MS2...
