Trip to Echo Hills near ROMA in Queensland

Posted by xminali in Untagged

Last week end, I went to visit some friends in the center of Queensland near ROMA.
It was the first time for me to go that far inland in Australia: I loved it, the drive was a bit long but landscapes are just beautiful.
I was lucky with the weather but also to meet Peter and Nikki who took the time to show me around and explain me how was the lifestyle in the over there.
I learnt a lot - It was fantastic.
We shared some French wine and cheese in the middle of the field!

Here are some photos....

As you can see, I really enjoyed the week end.
The most important thing for me during this travel is that it has changed the image i had of Australia, this cliche of the country for surfing and BBQ.
Meeting with people with different mindset and different mentality than surfing was good for me. I have nothing against surf, i like it, but I think Australia has something else to promote and I realised that many aspect of this country are not promoted and maybe should be.

Eden, Sapphir coast in south east Australia

Posted by xminali in xmas

Hello, today I want to share some beautiful picture of the south east coast of New South Wales in Australia.
For this Xmas break I decided to go for a road trip to refresh, relax and enjoy solitude and nature.
My main destination was Eden and particularly the green cap with a lighthouse...I though it was a good inspiration to find the path and clarify the direction for the coming up year...a lighthouse! A bright and high light for 2010.
Well, as a matter of fact, my intuition and "metaphor" was right...the history of that lighthouse was really inspiring and the reflection about people who used to work in lighthouse as a guide for ship...what a beautiful job, guide a vessel to save live and actually "SHOW THE WAY".
Any way, The Sapphire Coast on the South Coast of NSW,  is a wonderland of natural beauty featuring pristine beaches, forests, mountains and waterways where I had a wonderfull time.

My itinerary:

Photo Album...enjoy!
